Future IM/Pact is an Australian industry initiative with the vision of attracting more diverse talent into front-office investment teams. It was established in 2018 by Yolanda Beattie, the then Diversity and Inclusion Practice Leader at Mercer, following the company’s Women in Investment Management Report which confirmed most investors were white, male and private school educated creating the much-needed catalyst for the industry to work together to build a pipeline of diverse investment talent.
Established with eight founding partners we started out running events to educate students about impacting the world as an investor and how to start their investing careers, with an initial focus on attracting women.
We now offer several programs, events and bespoke initiatives that allow students and those in the first years of their career to gain access to industry mentoring, internships and graduate programs, and entry level roles.Thirteen partners contribute time, talent and funding to bring this extraordinary initiative to life.
